Coronavirus is still the major news around the world, and more people are working from home and using video services to keep in touch with family and friends. We talk about the pros and cons of Zoom and FaceTime. And of course, because we’re, well, *us*, we veer off into other topics.
Mike’s pick this week is Just Dance 2000 to help keep us active and have fun. Melissa wanted a nice backdrop for her video conferencing, so she chose the Emart Photo Backdrop Stand. Since salons and barbershops are closed, many people are cutting their own hair. Elisa recommends the Professional Hair Cutting Kit.
As we all hunker down hiding from the Covid virus we discuss what we are doing to cope with this epidemic.
First Mike talks about paying more attention to his health and watching his weight. Then they all talk about ordering food with apps, the future of bill paying, entertainment options for all you shut ins and teleworking.
For our picks Elisa is thinking about exercise while social distancing with Peloton Bike. Melissa want to be comfortable while working so she went with the Altwork Station. Mike just wants to forget what going so he going to play games on his Commercial Grade Cocktail Arcade Machine.
DON’T PANIC!!! It’s just Mike & Melissa this week. Elisa is fine, she’s just away for this show. With the Coronavirus starting to ramp up we talk about measures and precautions to deal with the possible pandemic. And one of the best things you can do in a situation such as this is to laugh or the stress will kill you. First we start by talking about the Spotify playlist we created called “Quarantine“. We also discuss a little about making playlists and scrobbling.
For our picks Melissa finds a way to deal with the toilet paper shortage by using a bidet. Mike decides to pass his time in isolation by have a chair side table.
With spring just around the corner (hopefully) everyone’s attentions turn to travel and vacations. First Elisa offers some advice on cruises and has a website to compare different cruise companies. Next Melissa is planning a school trip for her son and has tips on getting things ready and help for money handling. Finally Mike want to traverse this great land and has a trip planner and a booking app to offer.
For our picks Melissa has a water proof phone pouch to protect the phone. Elisa picked passport holder to carry your passport, phone and a few cards. Mike has headlamp flashlight that would be useful for camping or having a hands free light for working in the dark.
This week we discuss our workflows and office spaces. From furniture to organization, to how we get things done, we talk about our own setups and what we like and what we would do differently.
This week the gang is all here and we are ready to talk books. We compare the different services for buying and renting e-books and audio books. We also discuss loans vs recommendations. Then we move on to talk about goodreads to get reviews and recommendations from other people.
Having survived Black Friday, the gang regales each other with their hard-fought online purchases and price victories. Then Elisa tells us her tale of woe and —ultimately success— of purchasing her father’s new iMac and her own new MacBook Pro 16-inch. What an adventure!
Then on to our GSE Play Money Picks™. Our imaginary range was $200.00 to $600.00. First, Melissa wants to seek some relaxation from life so she chose a Master Massage Stationary Massage Table.
Next Elisa just wants to rest after setting up her MacBook so she picked a Casper Mattress.
