This week Melissa, Elisa and Mike discuss the Apple Keynote and give our thoughts on what was announced, what we like, what we don’t like and what we are looking forward to.
We start out talking about Mike’s work ethic which then leads to Melissa asking parenting advice on how to motivate her kids to do chores. This leads to us talking about how we raised and taught our kids to be responsible adults. From there it morphs to the importance of community in our lives. Melissa asks about how much information we share on social media, what our comfort level is and what our security measures are.
For our picks we start with Melissa who wants cleanse herself with a BioBidet Bliss. Then Elisa wants to cool down with a Dyson Pure Cool Tower. Mike just wants to escape reality with a PS4 VR Bundle.

Topic range from the operating systems, hardware and software issues, services, upgradeability to subscription services and Photos. But we also have some positive things to say. Tune in to find out.
First Mike regales everyone with tales of his Snowmageddon that hit the Midwest. Everyone else’s weather was just peach by comparison. Then we have a discussion about Mike’s hard drive failure which then turns to a dialogue about backups and redundancy. This leads to what to do with your digital heritage upon your ultimate demise.
After some discussion of the weather (Mike’s finally happy with his), we talk about Mike’s new podcast. He talks about the creating and submitting his new creation. We also examine using Twisted Wave , Blog Touch Pro , Simplenote, Box.com and Anchor.fm for his tablet only production of his podcast.
Then we look at Apple’s announcement this week. We were not terribly excited about it but, your mileage may vary.
From there we move on to our picks. First Mike, in keeping with his tablet podcast production, wants the iPad Mini. With the hope of spring to come Elisa wants a new grill. And Melissa just wants to sit down on a new loveseat.
After Mike complains about the weather and Melissa and Elisa torture him with theirs we move on to a variety of subjects. First we discuss the upcoming Apple event. Then Elisa tells us about her ongoing saga with Spectrum. From there it morphs to streaming services. We move on to Melissa tells us about her new Apple Watch and has a helpful hint for anyone upgrading to a new watch. Elisa regales us with her weird Do Not Disturb thing. Finally Mike tells about his wife’s new car and trying figure how to make it easy for her to play music.
We’re back to 3 host this week. After our usual talk about the weather Mike tells about trying to find a song digitally and finally having to go old school and buy a CD and ripping it. From there we talk about buying vs. streaming music and having ownership of our digital entertainment.
Elisa wants to switch cable packages so discuss and compare different stream packages along with Over The Air and satellite.
For our picks Melissa wants to be da Bomb with da Bomb “f” Bomb Bath bomb. Elisa has 2 picks. Following the same scent as Melissa, Elisa has chosen Number 2 Scented Toilet Bomb. For her 2nd pick she chose socks from LootWear LootCrate. And finally in the same vein Mike wants to stay warm so he wants to get Hand Warmers.
This week we’re down to 2 hosts again because the creeping crud has assaulted Elisa again. First we start off talking about the weather and winter drivers (some who need to be smacked). Then we talk about Pokemon Go and the people who play them (again some who need to be smacked). We move on to movies that Mike is looking forward to (a little rant) and some of Melissa’s favorite moves (also no smacking).
From there we move on to our picks. Even though Melissa claims not to be a hippy dippy crystal grippin’ hippy she does like her salt lamps. Then Mike wants to take his gaming mobile with this game controller phone holder.
This week we have all our hosts back. After we talk about the weather (it’s cold), we do our favorite TV shows. We all agreed on one show (have to listen to find out ). Then we are on to our picks. Melisa wants to relax so she picks a Massage Chair L Track by Motion Products. Next Mike and Elisa are getting antsy for Spring. Elisa wants a Monterey Oval Gazebo. And Mike wants to see some sun so he picks a Rion Sun Room.
This week we are down to just 2 hosts, but they’re the best hosts (just ask us). After moaning about the weather we actually have things to talk about. First Mike and Melissa talk about remembering things and how we cope (hint : Mike wants to be a cyborg). After we discuss a few other subjects we get to our main subject, Geeky Pet Gifts. After that we discuss Netflix’s Black Mirror : Bandersnatch and what devices support it.
